First off, is dcmsox2004 a reference to the redemption we Red Sox fans experienced in 2004?

Dcm, I am glad you asked. There is some serious irony working here. The shot comes from the site of an old monastery in Cumberland, RI. It has since been taken over by the town and put to use as the public library. There is a natural tension coexisting there as you have all the visuals of heightened religious devotion alongside of a learning and intellectual center. This is what I strove to capture in the shot. I further tried to accentuate this tension in this shot:

yes, dcmsox2004 was for that special time... never thought i'd see the day
the bosox hoisted the championship trophy....
hate to say it, but there is so much to see and shoot in r.i. that most who
live here, never seem to get to mosey about.... i discovered slatersville ri a
few weeks ago, great new vistas and subjects waiting to be shot........
very nice pics of our local history..........

Great series! I found the symbolism (and colors) in the 3rd image of the series quite interesting.
