Scheveningen beach at sunset

Some more from yesterdays sunset walk at Scheveningen beach. All made with my Pentax-A 28/2.8. Hope you like them!

i like the second a lot, too. i might try to crop for a vertical ratio, if it was mine (bring the sun a bit to the left, and the birds at the bottom, with just a bit of space on the sides of them), i think it would make it stronger (but it's up to the photographer really). i absolutely love the light, the textures and the color, very well done!

Very nice shots... particularly the second one. The detail in the surf gives it that little extra "omph" that is missing in the first one.

I vote the first one too, altho the second is also good. the first one is so dramatic with the darkness beneath the coulds and the sunrays shining above the top of them

I love the sunsets! Strangely the water looks a bit like frozen in the second shot, what shutter speed did you use in that?

Hi Georg, thank you. Shutter speed in that particular one was 1/180". Any ideas what to do next time, what could be done better?

No need to do more, it is the foam, I think, that gives the frozen impression..
