Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia
Posted By: ppeter, 05-28-2009, 04:40 PM

I went for a drive down to the Fleurieu Peninsula, near Adelaide on the weekend, hoping to capture the late afternoon sun on some of the beautiful rolling hills of the region, now starting to green up after recent rain. Not sure if I did the area justice but here are the results !
All taken with a K20D and Sigma 17-70 or DA55-300 and some post processing applied.

DA55-300 f4.5, 87mm iso 100

DA55-300, f4.5, 170mm iso 100

DA55-300 F4.5, 150mm iso100

17-70 f3.5, 31mm iso 100

17-70 f4.0 ,17mm,iso 100

17-70 f4.5 70mm iso 100

Thanks for looking.

Love those shots! They remind me quite a bit of the Big Sur region of the California coast here in the U.S..

Beautiful!

Stunning! Thanks for posting these. I have a DA55-300 too - good to know what it can do.

Peter,

This is a realy wonderfully captured series. Lighting and composition are really well seen and captured.

Solifluction in action on image three! I wouldn't want to stand around there after the next series of heavy rains. Solifluction is the geologic term for soil creep.... and eventually collapse under the right conditions.

Nice work. Did you use a polarising filter in #4 & #5?
