Spanish Army´s day
Posted By: juanraortiz, 05-31-2009, 09:52 AM

This year the army came to my town to celebrate their day. These are from a rehearsal of a disembark they will perform the next day. They were so close to the audience that i just cropped a few pics because i didn´t frame well. I will post a second series because ,as you can guess, i have a lot of pics.

Very cool shots, the heli one is great I agree, especially with the whirled up sand creating a form of sand fog around the soldiers. The closeup of the 3 soldiers is also very good, looks like a shot of a documentary journalist who was standing right beside the soldiers.

He,he. And expensive i´m afraid. But this poor country of mine needs things to make us feel togehther. We don´t have the impressive love of the americans for USA, for example.

I agree with both of you about my favourite one. I was 20 meters from the soldiers and 2 meters from the helmets ones.

juanraortiz ..... Donde esta

Hi Juan,

I am curious where these military operations took place? I used to live (for about a year) in the Costa del Sol (Marbella y Torremolinos) but I am guessing it is not near
there

Cheers,

Jack

Hi Jack,
I live in a town in the North of Spain called Santander. It´s a touristic place, but only in summer. We don´t have the sun all time like Marbella and Torremolinos. If you turn to Spain my province has beaches ( like the one in the pics), mountains, a green landscape an a great cuisine waiting for you. The town is small and quiet. Just as a matter of interest, Peter Macnicol, the Ally Mcbeal´s actor, recently bought a house in the mountains
