I really enjoy number 1, getting the detail out of white flower like this is impressive.

I enjoyed them too, like sailor said I too find it difficult to capture the detail in flowers and often they end up looking plasticy to me. especially if the petals have some strong color (channel clipping).

some raindrops sure look nice in flower photos

thanks... i've been quite pleased with the results of the tamron 28-75 f2.8.....
just a little cropping and minor pp has given me some nice results.....
i try to get as close as possible without falling into the subject.. yeah, it has happened,
not a pretty sight...

Super colors indeed. That first one really caught my eye - yellow and white are hard to expose and the detail in there is stunning.

Vivid colours and I very especvially liked the first two shots. One word of advice though, try to vary the placement of the main subject in the picture space. Nothing wrong with the centre, but it is not always best.

thanks jmr.... i've liked the off center approach.... funny how so many have been conditioned to center everything.... funny, i'm considered by many to be off center!!!
i'll try your suggestion in the future...
