Another portrait shot. Comments welcome.

I've neglected the FA*28-70 since the new 5D and 24-70L combo I recently got for good deal until today. I went back to some shots taken by the FA*28-70 back in April when we took a little road trip for the bluebonnet and found this. A few post processing with color tweaks but no sharpness added. I don't know what to do now since there is no point to keep two zoom lens in the same focal but I really don't want to sell the FA*. It's just gorgeous. Comments welcome.

Wonderful portrait. Her lookin' out the frame instead of in, really works. Nice one.

Great Shot
Wonderful Mood

Was this planned or spontaneous? Either way I'm impressed.

Be well,

Lovely composition, well executed shot and some very nice rule breaking.

Nice shot but I have never really cared for a shot where the person is looking out of the frame.

She seems a little fatique and the background is a tad harsh with the OOF rendering.

However, the approach is good overall. Dig the composition

Overall a nice looking shot. Lighting is a little on the cool side and I am usually not in favor of losing the extreme top part of the head. I would have kept the full head in the shot. I don't mind the off center rule breaking, or her looking off to the side, but I think positioning her a little more toward the center (but not fully centered) may have taken away the distraction of the flowers taking up a lot of the right part of the frame. As it is now, my eye is a little torn between the blue flowers and the model. If she had a little more on both sides of her, I think the viewer's eye would concentrate more on her.

"Just gorgeous..." You said it all there.

As for the dilemma with the lens...

"I wish I had such problems!"

You are keeping the two systems/bodies... For really good reasons. You need to have a full reach range with each. Simple. Moreover you need to have shining high performers in each system. And that lens is all of that...

In acquiring new lenses... there is where I think strategy comes in. Unless you have to give one up for a future acquisition. In which case, do consider...
