The lens renders beautifully. I think nr 5 is very nice, nr 6 is similar but only using 1 hand kind of throws the shot out of balance.

really liking #5, the hands are wonderful with that deep red rose!

your irises are almost abstract with the shallow DOF, it's interesting how that lens renders the transition to out of focus.

like the lily, too, and I'm jealous because the lilies won't be blooming here for a while yet.

I like the first Siberian Iris (#3) but I think I might have been a bit better with a smaller aperture. I also like the 'painterly' (don't know what else to call it) effect you got on the bud in #1.

NaCl(and the transition from IF to OOF is really nice)H2O

Thank you. The lens has converted me to Super Taks... Will acquire more. With #6 I was thinking that the curve of the arm and all gave it a dynamics that balanced the photo... Didn't quite work, eh?

Thank you. Your thread inspired this... That and the lens! Painting like. Amazing. And that is without any more advanced detailing in Ps... Oh boy. No classes this summer means more time to learn Ps. I'm in the NW and Lilies can be blooming all through late summer... Yum and Roses too.

Thank you. It was the lens. Just had to stay out of its way. Think it was in a shoebox for 10 years. Must be eager...

Any Ps detailing suggestions?

Stay cool,
