Indecent Exposure Redux
Posted By: Sailor, 06-02-2009, 01:24 PM

A few days ago, I posted two images - A and B below - exposed differently (see: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/post-your-photos/62010-indecent-exposure.html). My question was prompted by the fact that although the brighter exposure (B) is generally more satisfying to me, I much prefer the composition of A. Most folks favored B.

Based on some very kind behind the scenes suggestions from MrApollinax and Salty, I got off my lazy "stern" and fiddled with the curves of the RAW image before conversion, modifying A to a brighter version (A-Modified) - also shown below.

Now, what do ya'll think? How could I do this without compromising the star shape (note "haze")? Any other PP comments/suggestions are very welcome.

Jer

I think the modified 'A' perfectly combines the best of both worlds

I love that first shot the best. Good tilt and perspective. Very interesting perspective.

Hey Ray - thanks, buddy. And remember . . . . . this is the boat that sent the pirate you photographed over the horizon .
