In Flight
Posted By: Edicon, 06-04-2009, 12:39 PM

I've been practicing some in flight shots lately and so far satisfied (personal standard) with them. This is taken with a K10D and this what makes me excited with the upcoming K-7 in terms of faster frame rates and improve focusing.

Thanks Rense. Looks like I already found the technique to use for shooting in flight birds. I still need regular practice though.

Love it as well. Saw this bee flower hopping. I pre-focused on the flower and just wait for the bee to come around.

Fantastic shots. I've yet to master these with my K20D.

Conrad,
That is one wonderful set of exposures. The DOF in the last two gives an almost 3-D appearance. Right-on sharpness as well. My hat's off to you.

These are all first rate, but I really like the duck most because of the etheral qualities of the background. Getting a sharp image is not the only thing one has to do and your images certainly show that overall quality is equally important.

Legacyb4, Falld5, Bramela, Mithrandir, Scottnorwo, JMR, Roentarre,

Thank you very much for the nice comments, well appreciated.

I was just surprised why the picture of the mallard (1st pic) is not as sharp with the one I have in smugmug. This is the first post where I uploaded the pictures in pentaxforums server.

Here's the one in smugmug.
