The Auto-Takumar 55mm f/1.8 is rarely off my K20D. Then it goes onto the K100DS! I have been impressed with the simple, rich renderings.

Want me some more of these lenses.

These were set up shots to explore the metering issues I have been noticing... And to play with controlling the background blur. Someone told me they didn't believe me about that these kinds of renderings were directly out of camera with minimal Lr PP. They just left muttering something... I think they are going to buy a Pentax body and come over to borrow it!

I will be working some of these over in Ps too since there are many more treatments to explore...

Thanks... I like the last one and the rose the most. There is much about this lens that will teach me more... Need a VF magnifier... there was a discussion on an alternative to the Pentax branded one, more magnification.... maybe that one. Anybody with a link to it?

Friend just called and his father has a film body and a shoebox full of lenses to gift me! Wow.
