Steamer Lane, Santa Cruz
Posted By: sfdealer, 06-09-2009, 04:28 PM

A couple pictures from the cliffs above Steamer Lane. 5-8ft waves.

K100d and couple cheapo Quantaray AF lenses (30-90? & 100-300).

With a few pros in the water, there were some slick turns to be captured. Maybe next time I'll capture 'em.

The subject of the last two pics is a pro. Jamie something. If anyone recognizes him, feel free to post and I'll edit.

First time out shooting surfers, or much of anything, so any advice is appreciated. I can't decide how much of the wave to keep in frame.

For some reason I had the ISO set to 800 for some of the pictures.
Can't tell how much of a difference it made.
