Wild Phlox
Posted By: JMR, 06-09-2009, 07:10 PM

Every day after work I would drive by these beautiful patches of wild phlox sorrounded by highways. It drove me nuts! I could find a way to get in to get a few shots. But one I look up a factory that was nearby. I went the road, walked to back anf found myslef in a patch of green grass surrounded by highways. These are a mixture of Ortons and straight shots. Again, I think they are representative of spring, along with the on shot of daisies.

I love the sheer simplicity of the final shot.

I don't know if I'm using the correct term but I love the soft focus filter effect. No. 3 for me.

All of them great shots, but the last is outstanding - really like that one and Gary nailed it...well done!

I really love Dames Rocket (wild phlox) but have to agree that the last shot is a soothing feast for the eyes. Nice.

It's OK. It is like a soft focus effect but it is really one image superimposed on another where one is soft and out of focus and the other in focus.

Thanks, it was the only shot I had time for. Hope to get back for close-ups.
