Reversed 50mm Macros
Posted By: dreyes, 06-10-2009, 09:24 AM

Hi Everyone,

I am ashamed to admit that I was sucked in to the black hole that was the K-7 Mega thread for the past few months (meaning i only visited to check that thread most of the time) as well as have been slightly swamped at work. But as a bit of redemption i did get some shooting done

This set I tried using the FA50 1.4 reversed with a cheap sigma 100-300 lens. Depth of field was definitely difficult to control, i estimate i would actually need f11 or greater for something more appreciable ..

But here's the result of my attempt.

the following is a shot using the sigma 17-70's close focus macro mode.

I like the first and second one.
I think a lot of people should at least try the reversed lens trick a time or two as an introduction to macro.
