I was in Montreal for BEERFEST this past weekend and stopped at the Botanical Gardens before heading home on Sunday.

Great, great work. I love how you play with focus, the colours are great! The water lily looks a bit overexposed, sadly, but the rest is great!

thanks everyone! these are a couple of my faves from beerfest. i found myself shooting the characters and popped collars instead of the beer

the lilly was pretty hard to shoot. the default histogram doesn't show overexposure and the end result from my processing doesn't either; i think it's just a dynamic range limitation.

i was shooting with my da* 50-135 that day.

i ended up reprocessing some of these files for my store, and the lilly is definitely better the second time around. almost no curve change this time.
