POW in a Tiger Cage - Rolling Thunder XXII

Veteran Gerald McCullar demonstrates as a POW trapped in a Tiger Cage to express his solidarity with his comrades who never returned from Southeast Asia.

the colour one, I like; the BW would need more "constrast" or something like that, and the sepia does nothing for me.

Hey Mike - color works very well. Sepia doesn't fit the era.

Definitely the original color version. The mono-toned versions make him look a bit like a cammo-Santa to me.

Thanks for the feedback folks. Sounds like the color version wins hands down, though I did think the B&W looked more "documentary."

Thesorus... The B&W does have a full range from black to white so the contrast is about as good as it could get without blowing out the whites or killing details in the grays.

Jer... The sepia was just an experiment due to the many of my father's photos from that time that have faded to a pretty uniform sepia looking tint.

Jim... "camo Santa" LOL I bet this guy plays Santa at Christmas time.

By the way, this was shot using the BIGMA at about 50yds.
