I like the first one. The object of the second photo fills up too much of its center (at least to my taste). It also looks kind of grainy...

I like those photos. Rose is beautiful, first picture too, maybe you could try 2 clicks in Photoshop on the first photo with boat. Image -> Auto Contrast does wonders. I think you would get your sky to be more black and get more dramatic photo. Just an idea, I'm not saying it's bad now.

I've done that with my photo of the sky today. Just 2 clicks:

I've spent 3 minutes with your photo, just to show you what I was talking about. Low light conditions sometimes put a grayness layer on the photo which is easily removable in Photoshop.
