Post your backyard critters
Posted By: xfraser, 04-27-2007, 04:14 PM

I can't take my camera to work with me, so the majority of my pictures are from home. We found this guy while mowing the lawn:

Who have you found in your back yard?

You asked for it!

Found these a couple of hours ago - looks like MUSKRAT LOVE

An osprey that is transporting dinner (a northern pike) back to the nest- I'll have to give some colour to the sky when I get my Photoshop back:

A Canada Goose shot that I took a couple of hours ago (he's still sitting in the river outside my window):

A Purple finch:

And last, but not least, a Goldfinch:

There's more, but still not processed...

1- The toad should be named "lucky" (he didn't get mowed!)
2- Man, That's some backyard Tom!
3- This is a semi-tame squirrel we call "phewtus", she will take a peanut from your hand

Tom, that are very, very nice photos and you do live in a very nice area. We will be visiting there this fall.

Take care,

Friendly Neighbor

Flickr: Friendly Neighbor on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

I miss this fellow in my backyard. He comes quite often walking around the fence in my backyard. It is sad that my neighbor chopped down the nice old tree next to the fence and I have not seen this little guy for a long time. Picture taken with my p&s.

Warmest,
Hin
