Oliver Half Ironman

So went up to watch my girlfriend do her swim (couldnt do the rest do to injuring her foot the week before), took far too many pictures but I had great fun practicing my motion shots on all the events.

Don't mind the dust on the lense, it was a dusty day and there was no way to avoid getting it in the camera or on the lenses when i switched

2009 Oliver Half-Ironman

A little internet humour

On a side note i saw a HUGE number of pentax users floating around that day...it was a nice change from most of the sports events i go to.

I like the panning action. you caught those fast moving bikes well and you made the runner look very fast.

Nice shots. I think the runner is my favorite - cool that you saw many Pentax shooters - I have only manged to see a couple in the 'wild' nice series.

Ya i was blown away, normally I see maybe 1 0r 2....i saw at least 40 users floating around

The runners were the hardest to capture, after a 2km swim, a 95km bike and a 20km run, they were usually moving pretty slow

although I don't think i would have made it past the swim (first guy was out of the water in 22 minutes)
