First pics with K1000
Posted By: shefiredevil, 06-15-2009, 05:28 AM

Ok I bought this camera used, so I could start taking pics again. I love my little Olympus digital for those quick shots when out messing around but I wanted a "real" camera again. My daughter says I'm old school, she has some fancy digital one. So here are some shots from the first roll I ran thru it.

No pp yet will play with them this week.

Thanks Tracey

I like them! You also get to hear something that is missing form the DSLRs, that classic K1000 mechanical shutter sound.

Every once in a while I'll pull out my trusty K1000 too. I was at a graduation with it once, my neice was giving a valedictorian speech. The hall was fairly quite and you could hear the beeps and whirring from all the digital cameras, then I took a pic and 90% of the audience spun around wondering what the heck that noise was!!

Nice pics by the way.

film speed

All but the second one were shot on 400 spd film the second one was shot on 200 spd. I also was playing with the shutter speed. Like I said I just bought it off ebay so I wasn't sure if it even worked. The sun was just coming up so it was full on that one side. If I can I will go to Andersonville State Park(POW/MIA, Civil War) this weekend and take some more.

And yes I love hearing the shutter snap( I even have it on my cell phone camera)

Thanks for the looks....Tracey
