A K-m in Greenland?
Posted By: Duplo, 06-16-2009, 08:58 PM

It has been a while since I have posted photos here...

I mean as in anything remotely serious and shot with a pentax body, none the less I ended up snatching up a K-m a little while back (at these prices how could I not )

Anyway, this weekend I did a boating and hiking trip with a round of friends and had the chance to give the K-m its first workout as fun camera.

I even had the chance to knock it hard as I dropped off a wet cliff while climbing up (I took most of the hit though), more or less soak it and some other fun stuff and not a single scratch or wet spot inside to show for it, it really is much tougher than one would expect

Not to mention that it looks almost rediculously tiny with a DA21 mounted next to a D3 and 70-200VR combo.

Below are a few of samples from the trip.

Below is a link to a gallery with quite a few photos from the weekend:
Kissavik - 09
But be warned the photos is a good mix of Nikon and Pentax photos, while the above are all pentax.

I know these are fairly basic and nothing out of the ordinary, but it was fun

Thanks for looking

I really enjoy your pics of Greenland. It's great to see a different part of the world, and your photographic style. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for liking them, I appreciate that.

That section really is a very mixed bag of good, decent and outright useless photos, will need to shave it down at some point, to just contain images I find worthwhile, but i am glad you like them.

Thomas, that (again) is completely unfair - another reason to spend money on a trip...

Beautiful as usual!!!

So when/where is your next trip to the US?

Regards,
Marc

Thank you AM.
I will do my best.
I am upgrading the pentax kit these days, hopefully the K-7 gets here quick, that should make for some pretty interesting, pentax relevant, photos from me by the end of July.

Always a pleasure to see your work thomas. Despite all that scenery, my favourite is #4, so peaceful.

Thank you Gary.
Always a pleasure to post it.

And yep, save for a couple of D3 shots that i really do like from the trip, including a few not posted in the gallery, then it is one of the more satisfactory shots from the trip.
