Trees at dusk
Posted By: JMR, 06-19-2009, 04:05 PM

A grove of pine trees shot at dusk at High Park using the movement of the camera to accentuate the beautiful bark. And one to show wind-like movement.

JMR

Just added two more from tonight. One shows the tree scenes from which I took the other shots. Note the blue cast which I have left intact and is caused by the shady areas where the trees lay. The second I really like but it was difficult to convey the dark green areas of shade with the remnants of the light of dusk.

All three are very pleasing to me, JMR. The first one says: "the bright side of autumn", the second says: "October country" and the third says: "it's June".

Thank you Jer. That is somewhat the way I look at and think of scenes. like a season.

Up to par as usual JMR, I don't always comment but it's always a pleasure to look at your work. It's about time you produced a calendar.

Thanks Joni. I do love the bark on the trees. It has so much character.

Thanks. Everyone likes different things.

Thanks Marc. I find digital night captures difficult and different than film. I underexpose just to get the right exposure. In film you overexpose to compensate for reciprocity.
