I had a massive dose the past 10 days or so (it's only a 6 hour time difference from EST in the States to where I am in Germany), so I tried to get out as much as I could during times when I'm usually snoring. I finally cured myself by staying awake for about 36 hours straight and then crashing at a decent time.

But in the mean time....pictures! These were all taken during the past week and a half with my K200D and various lenses. Most were taken on one path that goes between my village and the next; the others were taken on the path to the supermarket (yeah, I don't drive - cycles and feet for me!).

interesting, compelling series... some pics just lend themselves
to have the viewer just stop and stare....yours have this quality

simply stunning, not only the composition but there is something to the PP and colors that looks special too. The shot of the hoverfly almost looks like its a computer generated illustration, the flower looks like some alien object. Thats my fave shot of the bunch btw

Thanks so much, everyone! I was really happy with the hoverfly. The flower was a bright blue that clashed horribly with the yellow, so I desaturated it completely. And Niki, if I had a printer, I'd send them your way

And to "and," yes, these were all processed liberally in Lightroom and only in Lightroom

(although I do use Irfanview for resizing)
