Street shooting at the market
Posted By: xhanatos, 06-27-2009, 07:59 PM

I finally got my K10D after being at the repair shop for about 2months. There was something wrong with the AF.. they had to order a new circuit board from overseas(?).. Two months without a dslr was agonising!

Anyway, enough blahblah.. here are some photos. Comments welcome.

All taken with the Pentax K10D + 35mm LTD. Poorly done masking in lightroom (big mistake) and further tweaks in photoshop.

5 converted to bw because the blown highlights was jarring. at least in bw, it's a bit more tolerable.. or maybe not!

Very nice. Like the PP in all of them. Rich and deep. The expressions in 1&2 and the crowd in 5... Right on.

I like them too, the rich saturation is becoming with those bright colors.

I think that effect is really cool when used in the correct photos and you've done it!
If I had the extra cash, I'd get it.
its so expensive! *sigh*

Agreed...on both accounts.

Love the colours. Number 2 being the best for me.

yeah, it's awesome for portraits but it only works for well lit subjects. i was guilty of using the lucisart plugin on all my photos to make it POP.. had to control that urge

I like how you processed the shots. Some are a bit busy, but that's to be expected at the market Maybe a shallower DPF would help in some instances.
