Working on my technique. Not the most colourful of birds but still a challenge. A few more finch shots with the Pentax M 400/5.6.

400 Finches sounded like my worst nightmare! I like 2 & 3; all four capture a lot of detail.

Really nice work. I also like 2 & 3 but all are good. There are other finches as well like the goldfinch and cardinal. Put out some thistle seed in one of those mesh (net) bag feeders that you can get at the big box retailers and you will draw more types of finches.

I have one of these feeders:

Wild Birds Unlimited Online Shop WBU Finch Sock

This will drastically increase your photo ops with a lrger variety of finches.
