Copycat Crime
Posted By: MrEspie, 06-30-2009, 11:13 AM

Evidently, this fellow learned from the chipmunk with the identity crisis, jumping from a nearby plant onto the pole to get past the baffle. I'd have gotten cross with him, but the birds haven't been making much use of our feeders lately, and he was putting on too good of a show. Full set (with more coming) here. All shots are with the SMCP-M 80-200mm (or the K 45-125mm if otherwise marked).

K 45-125

I apologize for the softness in some of these, I was only getting 1/90 at F4.5 and 200mm so there's a bit of camera shake, not to mention I was at the stop on the close end of the focus so my DoF was a little narrow. I'm pretty satisfied with them though.

Yeah, I need to get him a little cup to rattle against the bars. He was just hamming it up for me.

Thanks guys. Here's a few more with the K 45-125. I love this lens so much - it has the perfect range for portraiture with the digital crop. It's too bad my copy needs some repair though. The second element from the front is covered with what looks like oil/grease bubbles of some sort right in the centre. You can see one of these glaring in number 2 on his nose.

Look closely at his right paw in the first one. He's giving me the middle claw!
