This was the start of our 12 day Jasper & Glacier National Park vacation.
Almost to Jasper National Park...

Weather wasn't cooperating while we were there...

It was getting dark when we took this at 9pm

I could spend a month in this area and not get all the great shots. Between Banaff, Jasper and Lake Louise, are some of the best landscapes in the world. Nicely done. I will be heading there later this year. Hope to spend 5-7 days filling my mermory cards up. JIM

it brings back very fond memories to see these. I spent 3 summers living in the Columbia Ice fields doing my research for my masters degree. It always makes me nostalgic to see photos of the area.

It's a beautiful, beautiful place. I love the view, but what I crave when I'm not there is that mountain smell... rock, cold water and lodgepole pines....mmmm.
