nice .... the backround makes the shot is little 'busy' , but couldn't be avoided...
really like the contrast between the mast and the sky........

I would think with all that rigging, it would be busy without the buildings. Nicely done Ivan. JIM

Interesting ship.
A side / oblique on view would be cool.

I love that rigging against that sky, it just seems to fit. The ship itself against the city is rather interesting - a mix of worlds in a sense. I like it.

Nice shot, even with the background cluttered up again. Unfortunately, they seldom consider photographer's needs when placing ships like this. LOL

Right!

Ivan, the the B&H summer edition is out, all you need is a 80 x 100 backdrop.

The clutter of the city does contrast with the clutter of the rigging against the sky. I rather like the tall photo.

I like it. I like how the masts and ropes are mimicked by the clouds overhead. Nice shot!

I like both shots, I have tried and shot tall ships and never did get an image that I really liked. Unless one can shoot them on open water they always seem to look cluttered.

Cupic, I like the old versus new contrast very much in this shot, and the wide view is even more striking of a old being overwhelmed by the new mood. The only decent one I ever got of a tall ship was this training schooner on the Savannah River.
