OK, here is a series of photo's of the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep shot at Logan's Pass at Glacier National Park.

This pass is right between the two peaks here: I call it "Gateway to Heaven!"

These two had just crossed the road at Logan's Pass and I pulled over and went after them.
Found them after I went through some trees before they started up the steep mountain.

Starting their climb... after they pee!

You have to look for the two specks in the snow to see them now!

This was worth the 2,076 miles we traveled just to get these shots!
Sure, you can go to the ZOO and get the same shots, but it is more special to do it in the wild.

Nice pics of the BHS Jack. I'll be in Glacier in about 1-1/2 weeks, hope to get some pics of them. Although I have to travel 2600 miles to get there which includes a couple of detours through the Badlands, SD, then Beartooth All American Road, Red Lodge, MT, finally through Yellowstone up to Helena, MT.

Man, I would love to visit Glacier. Especially as a geography and doubly as an upstart photography hobbyist.

Amazing shots, I watched a group of big horn move up a mountainside in California years ago but didn't have a camera at the time. It was one of the most amazing things to watch them in the wild. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous images, they really brought back memories of that fateful morning years ago while on a camping trip.

I shot these on my last day coming home... probably why it took me 2 hours longer to get home. LOL ;D

The end of our wonderful Rocky Mountain vacation! Was it ever fun!

Those last 5 are all incredible! You can practically smell the clean air in the shot of the barn, and feel the sense of distance.
