Thanks guys. Yeah, even though the shot was a bit noisy that Bokeh is delicious.
Love that Sigma EX color! Regards, Freddy

Freddy, you ask for C&C, so here goes. I love the flower and the bokeh in the shot. I don't like that the flower is centered in the middle of the shot and the focus point seems to be the buds in the lower right of the shot. My advice is worth what you pay for it. No bad feelings meant.

No, you're absolutely right, Jeff. The flower is fighting with the buds in the foreground. I took lots of shots and didn't love the composition of this one but going over everything a second time I was enthralled with the color and Bokeh.
Thanks for your thoughtful comments. I gotta tell you I learned just about everything I know from these forums which are a gold mine of information from guys like you that want to help in this wonderful avocation we share.
Regards, Freddy.

Beautiful colour with great surrounding bokeh. Did you edge sharpen the photo? I can see the edge of top flower petal a bit oversharpened ...

Great atmosphere !

Hi Freddy, nice colors, and great shape to the flower, however I have to agree with James in that it's a bit oversharpened. I think if you back off on the sharpening some those buds in the foreground will be less intrusive also. The way you've captured those petals is a bit mindful of the Sidney Opera house, nice job.

NaCl(my five cents and worth all of that)H2O

Thanks, guys. Yes it is somewhat noisy. As I recall I backed off on the sharpening and it still looked noisy. I'll work on it a bit more to see if I can improve it. I do like the shot, though. It's just pretty and nice to look at.
There was an elderly Japanese man there shooting the same tree with an impressive looking camera and a tripod. He had such a peaceful and happy look on his face and it was nice to see someone enthralled as I was in that incredible candy store of flowers (Brooklyn Botanical Gardens). Regards Freddy
