I actually like the effect the wind provides. It adds that sense of motion. Plus we have to work with what is there at the time. Last night we had a bit of a breeze too (we ALWAYS have wind here) and I did experiment with faster shutter speeds and bigger apetures and/or higher ISO but nothing worked as nicely as tried and true settings. Plus the wind was too quick and by the time I wanted to take the shot, the wind had already moved the pattern around.

Wind is OK but after seeing all the fireworks are in the same direction in my pictures, I start to hate it.
For my experience, low ISO with small apertures will help you more to capture the fireworks. And B mode with a shutter cable is very useful as I can tell.

Wind or no wind they are nice images. Are they full frame or cropped? If cropped, I would uncrop #3 a little to make the flower pattern show better.

These are uncropped photos. My place is just a little close to the firework. Maybe I should get some ultra-wide lens.
