Me and my car (self portrait)

Well, I dont know if I'd call this a portrait but I did take it myself

the woman would end up damaging the paint. instead, she better be in kitchen making potpie.

Your lucky that you don't live here, or I know of several women who would put you in your place
Thankfully the most important ones to me wouldn't hesitate posing with a nice car, so I'm sorta safe

I'm sorry, but I'm more or less car agnostic - what kind of car is that?

What did you do for lighting? I think some more dramatic light would be interesting...

it is a pontiac solstice.

Lighting is strobe with umbrella (shoot through) for soft light on the side of the car. A bare strobe splashing off the hood to the left and a strobe inside the car lighting up the interior and me.

In hind sight, I should have also use a strobe to light up the roof just a bit. The car has a black cloth convertable top and it's getting lost in the darkness.

I really liked this shot, Scott. I'll have to try something similar - although I drive the competitioin, a Mazdaspeed Miata.

Anyway, terrific picture and a good idea. Looks like it could work in a brochure.
