Backyard Fireworks

Well we did them in the front yard, but you get the idea.

My first attempts at capturing fireworks. (Click on pictures for larger size)

Did them on full manual on my K20D with DA 40mm F2.8 limited.
These ones were shot on F8.0 or F9.5 ISO100 and 4.0 sec shutter.
Took a bunch of pictures, these were my best ones. Wish I had done some faster shutter speeds though. Most of the others were blurred by the smoke of the fireworks.
Definitely going to have to go into DC next year and try to get a good spot for some shots. WIll have a good tripod and more lenses by then.

Only owned a camera for about 3 weeks now. This was a fun exercise.
