Montreux Jazz Festival 2009
Posted By: tcom, 07-08-2009, 06:56 AM

This year's edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival opened last Friday.

The festival has two "programs", one paying program showing well known artists but where photography is not allowed, and a free program showing less known artists (at least to me), but allowing photography.

I tried to attend a few concerts and make a few shots. I will show here a severe selection of shots of the concert and add more photos as they come...

A terrific series, Dominique - I really dig the one of the cat with the big bari. I wish I could've been there - not much jazz here in SE Texas.

By golly - that went right over my head - love the shot of the Temple guy (bald head) on tenor, a Paris - very much like the one in my attic .

Again - great series. I dont' think you've ever posted pictures that weren't captivating - including your lens testing shots.

Dominique, that is a very nice series. I especilly like the three images of the Flat Earth Society. Brings back memories, in the second image that girls plays a 5 valve Tuba similar to what I played 50 years ago. :-)
