MY First photos with the K-7
Posted By: MightyMike, 07-10-2009, 01:26 PM

I made a first report of the K-7 over a month ago from use at a trade show, this one is no different, most of the comments on the forums are typical, i have no complaints, even the card is easy to get out for me

Here you go! edited just like any K20D photo would be edited, no real difference in IQ,

77mm Ltd, F2.0, ISO400, 1/5000th sec

Makes me sooo hungry/thirsty for strawberries
77mm Ltd, F2.0, ISO400, 1/125th sec

The rest are with the Sigma 100-300mm F4

F4, ISO400, 1/1250th sec

F4, ISO400, 1/1600th sec

F4, ISO400, 1/20th sec (4.4 stops stabilization)

Mike, have you had a chance to pit the K7 against aircraft yet?

stunning images (particularly the first)

the colors look awesome

coming from using teh k20d how do you think ISO noise compares?

some comparisons online seem to show the k7 having a slight amount more grain than the k20d.

Great photos!

I have not yet tested it on airplanes but i'm sure it will do fine, the noise is comparable but different, less chroma noise appearance of more luminance noise.

thanks for all your comments

I guess we are use to seeing the jetliners and other aircraft in your work so some of us are a little surprised with images of flowers.
The first two are the best of this lot and they were shot with your prime lens. Shocking! (he jokingly added)

Very nice set Mike. I'm also waiting for your airplane photos using the K-7 and sigma 100-300mm. For sure it will be great in your hands.
