Hodge podge Travelin' Nifty 50
Posted By: Igilligan, 07-10-2009, 10:57 PM

I posted these in the Nifty 50 thread but I need some love now...

All shot with the A 50 1.7 that is travelin' the world. The 3 close-ups are with the raynox 250 attached.

And a couple of ISO 6400 shots... It was so dark in this club with no lights actually focused on the front of little stage. Just two pointed at the ceiling.
Iso 6400 1/50 F1.7

And at one point I thought I saw the ghost of Michael watching the band

whoa! Pics worthy of love. Those closeups with the Raynox look fantastic. I must need to clean mine.

The shorties are your posse? Good shots there too. Much love sent.

Made a comment in the TNF thread, but I'll say it again...nice shots, especially the juicy looking strawberry.

Hope your back is getting better. Take it easy, Gus.

Awesome shots, Gus! I am especially amazed by the spider shot, was it jumping in the air at the moment!

Wow this forum is flying...

I went to find this to reply to it, and it was already on page 3.... I never dropped to page 3 so fast before. We have a lot of happy shooters on here.

Thanks to all for the kind comments... I really liked the A 50 1.7, maybe even a little more than my FA 50 1.7...

To answer a couple of questions... Imtheguy, only 2 of the wee ones are mine.

I still have not b&w'd the strawberry for you Cosmo but I will... today

and Georg the spider was not jumping he was hanging on a web, you can kinda see a bit of it in the pic. But I wish I had caught him jumpin' .

And Daz the back is getting better but there is a lingering 'hitch in my giddy up' that feels like it wants to tweak out again. I need to go get it really looked at.

Thanks again everyone

Some seriously good images there Gus.

The berry and spider really stand out to my eye. I'm going to have to dust off my 50mm. It seems I've been neglecting the potential of this one.

Some great shots, Gus. I get a sense of fun and exhuberance in your shots. Less so in your people shots, as if you are trying to get them to like you before you shoot! Have been following your daughter's shots, you know the one that looks like she is is always surly and serious or about to overturn your camera. Ha ha, good luck.
