Spanish bowling
Posted By: juanraortiz, 07-13-2009, 08:18 AM

These are from a ancient form of bowling played in my province. The secret is the effect you give to the ball so itīs so expressive that i want to shoot this sport more times. In the last one you see how high they throw the ball to get the effect. I will post more pics. Itīs a menace

In your first post #4 is the best of the bunch for me.
I like how the drag marks on the floor lead your eye into the skittles, and the ball, his hand and overall composition is excellent.

Looks like a very complicated game... I think I'll stick to straight forward American bowling. LOL Nice photos and they do a good job illustrating the sport.

Great shots of this, thanks for posting these. I haven't seen Spanish bowling before, it definitely looks a lot harder than the american version, that's for sure! I can't even crack 200 in that..lol

Thank you very much. You need a lot of ability, more than strengh, to play well. You can see it in the body's position to give the ball an effect when they throw.

He, he. Itīs a sport particular from my province and a part of the next one. The skittles are so separated one each other that is imposible to bowl all them. I never have seen it. If you want to see more seek "bolo palma emboque" in youtube. Many thanks for your comments.

Many thanks. Like in american bowling the first step is to point at kettels a few seconds.
