Hello to all,
So i took the K-7 out to get some real life photos, since i still shoot primarily in jpeg mode i have to mess with the image adjust settings to get the result i want out of the camera (in my case have it come out of the camera in such a way that i has the most amount of editing room without going to RAW) anyhow i though i had some nice settings, i was in natural mode, i turned high-key up, had highlight and shadow contrast turned up and has shadow correction set to 2 bars... and to top it off i had NR set to high as i was noticing more then normal noise in the shadows (Well no duh!) this combination of settings makes a huge noise monster out of the camera at ISO800 and up. in fact since the shadows are pushed so much i'd have to say that at ISO800 the shadows are more like ISO3200 or higher. needless to say i've left highlight correction on but turned shadow correction off and set the image parameters back to neutral and it yields a much better result.
The picture may appear noisier because they were all taken with the settings mentioned above
