I agree with deadwolfbones, i donīt know what that place is but it looks like an old prison or something. It has a harsh old feeling about it that i really like.

I also really like the 4th picture, great shot with some wellexposed clouds, the only little annoying part is that flare-thingie in the bottom middle.

Where did you take that shot from, were you on a ferry?

Nice set Cody.

This is a very nice set of photos.

I found your B&W picture of the Catalina 387 particularly interesting - generally, people (like me) shoot this sort of thing in color. The B&W emphasizes the shape and look of the hull and sails. I may shamelessly copy your approach as I photograph boats in our part of the world.

My daughter will be taking up a postdoc at Stanford around year's end, so I'll have an opportunity to visit this area more frequently than I've been able to over the last several years. Your pictures make me look forward to that.

Thanks! The color version just didn't have a good enough feeling to it.

It was taken from the Larkspur ferry.

Nice series Cody!
I especially like the first one.
It's nice to see a sky with lots of contrast and features; ours have been so dull and grey lately.
