Red squirrel

It was a surprise to see it and I didn't have a longer lens with me, so I toke the pictures with my FA 100 macro. Hope you enjoy it like me.

Wow, great shots! I usually have to go 200mm before even getting them.

Those feathers above the ears are cool. The red squirrels we have here in Canada are much smaller than the black and gray ones. They are kinda like chipmunks in size and they don't have those crown feathers or w/e you call them.

Thanks a lot FotoPete. The squirrel changes from winterfur to summerfur (my english OK?), in some weeks it will loose those feathers and get it back in autumn.

Cute pic's Green&White, my 400 seems to stay on my camera a lot now because of all the birds, squirrels and marmots

They get pretty big in BC
