Nice porch...

There was a thread on here yesterday I think, about these new kind of "shoes" that are like gloves... In that thread it was said that it was close between the glove shoes and crocs as to which was the ugliest shoe...

All I could think of was that in my day the ugly shoe competition was between Waffle Stompers and Top Siders...

And today you post this beautiful shot for me!

But I guess as a work shoe, it ain't too bad a gig.

Hey JIM - I was in the cockpit, waiting with camera in hand, for the spectacular sunset that never materialized (you can see my old, dark blue Domke bag near my right knee). Still, with a beer nearby, it wasn't a bad way to spend some time.

you wouldn't be the first. Why not pull your boat out (I recall you have one in storage???), and live it up.

Yeah, I saw that thread, Gus. Sperry makes boat shoes in practically every style nowdays, but I still prefer the old mocs (they do serve well on a wet deck). I won't wear them in public in a boating community, however, until they've become acceptably worn. These are getting about right.

It's a burden I'll just have to bear, Dave. I have been lucky for sure, although there was a little work thrown in there once and a while

That certainly happens on sailboats.
