Nice street photos, I like them, they are real people in real lives.

thanks!

keep in mind that I am very selective... walking in the street of NYC 95% of the people you will see will be happy, enjoying shopping ,restaurants and everything NY have to offer.

I am looking for people that are interesting to me and usually I end up with the sad and the hard working people

Awesome real life shots (1 and 3). You should participate in some photo contests with them :-)

Very nice. #2, in particular, looks very "Dave Hill"...

Mike

p.s. doubtful most people could get away with this kind of work in DC... LOL

Thanks every one for your kind words!!!

on # 2 I used a tip that I got here in the forum on creating the David hill look
its seemed right for that picture

I really think that if I had a different camera I would not have made this much progress if only for this forum!!!

Not a fan of the filters you're using. It's especially awful in photo number two. Get rid of the filters and focus more on the photography, as you've got some nice shots that deserve better—less radical—handling in software. I'd exclude showing the last photo with the first three as a set. It's neither here nor there in terms of subject matter. I'm not sure who to pay attention to, and it doesn't help that some of the people are cut off by the frame.

First one is terrific - I like the edgy color treatment.

Thanks Sailor!

mischivo... I agree with you about # 4 its here more to show how wide is 20mm in the street as this thread say its a first try with the 20mm.

I am sorry you think that my PP is awful but I guess its a matter of taste

I have to agree to disagree

P.S ( I had to add this) I know you shoot Canon but learn how to comment in the Pentax forum we are all learning here.

I can't find the words to describe the first one. It's truly awesome though. Awesome and sad.

That was my thought as well. The integration of the advertising and the guys sitting there is pretty seamless (similar color saturation and contrast) and heightens the contrast of circumstance. My eye was drawn from the water in the ad down to the puddle on the sidewalk and the realization that it was not rain water.

Actually the entire series is pretty awesome. I have to disagree with Mischivo regarding the PP. I think that the treatment is appropriate and affective...particularly for #2.
