I was working in Georgetown, KY this past week and my wife and I took the opportunity to visit some friends who live in Perryville, KY. The took us to the Mercer County Fair in Harrodsburg, KY on Tuesday night. One of the big attractions was Horse Pulling. It was an impressive display to say the least.

Great action series! Beautiful animals, aren't they? You did a great job of capturing their strength. We see tractor pulls in this part of the world, but only occasionally do they hold an honest to goodness horse pull. That's the original.

Thanks all for the comments. This was the first time I'd ever seen a horse pull. I was quite impressed. I was equally impressed by the guys who handle the horse's and hook them to the sled. One wrong move and things could get real ugly. The fact that they do this on the fly is amazing.
