I took this today (24/07/09), on the South Bank in London.
If anyone can name the tree I would appreciate it, as it would help me with a title for this image.

Great shot, tried something similar this spring, dut it did not turn out very well. It's the bark of a platan, or plate-tree (Platanus x orientalis).

Interesting shot - the texture of the tree reminds me of cloth.
