Has been to recreate the 'vintage' look in my photos (for appropriate subjects of course). This is also my first time posting pics so please bear with me. Here are a couple of my favorites...

Austin, these two photos work so well in conjunction with each other. Are they individual photos that stand on they're own, or are they supposed to be combined?

I think if you combine 'em they make such a powerful statement and hold great analogy.

They're individual photos.....although if you like them combined, I won't argue! Attaching them through the forum put them next to each other. Next time I'll link 'em from flickr!

Can you tell me what this so called "vintage look" is? I'm just wondering what you're trying to recreate, as it's not evident in the photos. Thanks,

The first one does look vaguely like some old faded color print. I assume the slight pastel and faded look is what you were going for.

B&W is "in vogue" so I don't think it counts as "vintage" any more.

Though #2 doesn't make me go "Ahhhh" it does have a full range of tones and nice contrast so you've done well with your conversion (assuming this is a digital color 2 B&W).

Oh, and a belated "Welcome to PF!" Keep posting.
