3rd shot you can tell there was some shake but other than that WOW! I didnt think those things stopped moving even for a millisecond! Great shots. Background on the toucan looks pretty cheezed, but I get the feeling it might be better than whats underneath that murk lol.

Very nice... certainly sharper than what I got last weekend. Care to share your camera settings and shooting environment? Given the variety of species, were these shot at an aviary or zoo (not that it matters as they are devilishly hard to shoot in any case)?

The Toucan was taken at the Summit Zoo (that's why I removed the background as it was an ugly fence).

The Hummingbirds where taken at the Rainforest Discovery Center near Gamboa in Panama, they have some feeders there and they are around allot, they are free living in the rain forest do, not any zoo. Here at my blog Birdwatching In Panama are some details of the center and other pics as well.

Unfortunately it was overcast and I did not want to use flash as it sometimes changes the reflected colors, got do the the lens open at F4, ISO at 800 and 1/125 that time explains the unsharpness in the pics I guess. Gota try again in better light or use the flash next time. The toucan picture was taken with F5.6 ISO 800 at 1/200.
