Shot these two very close to each other just as the sun was setting. Light was getting really bad on the Heron shot. The Bever I was on the side of a bank eating grass. JIM

Nice shot of the beave (I'm envious)... too bad he couldn't be accommodating and turn his head a bit!

I like both of them. The grass around the body in the first one gives a wild effect.

Never seen a posted shot of a Beaver before (straight face everyone, this is serious). I envy your luck to get the chance. I only came up with a Muskrat tonight....no match for your Beaver. Thanks for posting.

I think I post another one last winter. anyway, they are very difficult to shot. Very shy animals. JIM

Good shot of the beaver Jim, I've seen lots of them when I was living in Montana but never close enough to get a good shot even with a 500mm.
