Showing off the FA 50 macro
Posted By: bdery, 07-25-2009, 05:54 AM

I got this lens about two weeks ago, and finally got around to really putting it to good use. I really love the quality of the images produced, apart from their obvious sharpness. Contrast, saturation, bokeh are the best I can produce with my lineup.

100% crop:

Tiny strand growing:

Trapped in water:

Pearls:

A road less traveled:

Predator:

The future:

And just to show off the sharpness of the lens, this growing flower is about a half-inch wide:

Thanks, Mike. The ant probably knew, it went away very fast (and probably survived...).

The pattern on #7 is akin to a Fibonacci series, for the record. It's one of the most common, and surprising, patterns in nature.

Apart from taking good photo's, you give them great titles. A skill that often goes unnoticed. Well done!

Sweet stuff.
Very thin DOF, but lovely colours and tack sharp subjects.
Thanks for sharing.

Many thanks, and thanks for looking! I do think that in most cases giving a (good) title is important, it allows mw to illustrate the mood I'm in.
