Week-end at the lake, various skies
Posted By: bdery, 07-25-2009, 06:26 AM

Here is a series of skies, with or without rain, that I took in the last few days...

One long exposure (the yellow tint on the fir comes from a bonfire...)

Some nice shots. Looks like a peaceful location, with plenty of photo ops. I especially like #4.

Cool stuff.
#1's mystical.
Last one's interesting too - a little yellow on the WB but still nice.
Well done.

Good series. I take it the last image is under some light source?

Nice photos!! Was curious how long you left the shutter open for your night shot? Thank you.

Thank you for the comments, and sorry about the delay in rplying, I had to go away for a few days...

I left the shutter open for about 25 minutes for the star trails. The yellow tint was caused by a fire reflecting ever so slightly on the tree (I got as far as possible from the fire, but I could hardly convince everyone else to douse it so I could take a 30 minutes picture...).

The lake is a beautiful location, and we have been cursed with bad weather but blesed by beautiful skies from time to time...
