Another FA50 Portrait
Posted By: maxwell1295, 07-25-2009, 12:12 PM

Well, I didn't say it would be a people portrait.

I've been under the weather this week, so I haven't been able to get out and shoot anything. Since I'm homebound, Timbo was kind enough to pose for a few shots. I guess this could've posted this in the "Pets" thread, but I haven't posted anything here in forever so I figured I'd post it here.

Props to Keitha for telling me about that Dipstych program. It works like a charm and is great for stiching multiple pictures together.

Thanks's another from earlier today. Both were shot with natural window light.

I cannot get my cat to pose for a decent photo. You are lucky. Nice shots. I wish I could get something similar with my cat.

Thanks guys!

I have a black cat who doesn't sit still at all. Even if she did, I'd still find a way to screw up the exposure. Probably one of the tougher subjects to expose properly in natural light.

BTW, I just remembered that the second shot was taken with the DA*50-135.

I really like the third image, such a strong expression.

Also, my mother has a few black pets, and yes they are hard as hell to properly expose, especially when the sun's out.

Nice one Maxwell, your diptych is great. Although its no oilcheck gauge.
