Bonaparte's gull coloring

Just thought this was interesting, my Sibley's informed me that this particular bird has an all-black head during breeding season. Supposedly this is towards the end of it, and sure enough, the black is "fading".

EDIT: This might actually be a Laughing Gull now that I look closer at the guide. The beak coloring indicates so. Help please!



Compare to a few months ago (and as evidence that my photos are improving):
